The Full Story

Joe York is a lifelong Northeast Ohioan, a master woodworker, and a craftsman with an engineer’s precision and an artist’s eye. Before retiring, Joe spent decades as a structural engineer designing and building timber bridges and boardwalks across the United States and the Caribbean—projects that deepened his respect for the strength and beauty of natural materials.

Joe channels that same passion for design into his woodworking and mosaic art. Inspired by the vibrant colors and patterns of Mexico and the American Dessert Southwest, he creates one-of-a-kind Talavera-inspired mosaic mirrors that blend rustic craftsmanship with bold colors and patterns. Each is a unique and enduring piece of handmade art.
